Alaska Option is a full-service EFT network offering automated teller machine (ATM) and point-of-sale (POS) transaction switching and settlement services to financial institutions and financial service providers in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. Over 98% of the debit cards (ATM, Visa Check, and MasterMoney) issued within the state of Alaska bear the Alaska Option logo. Over 366 ATMs are deployed in Alaska and Washington by Member institutions. In 2002, Alaska Option processed over 13.9 million ATM transactions and 10.5 million POS transactions. POS transaction volume realized a 39% growth in 2002.

Bank of Hawaii

Bank of Hawaii, the state's largest commercial bank, with 470 ATMs across Hawaii, has selected the WorkSmart ATM Suite from Paragon Application Systems for designing ATM configurations and simulating and testing transaction processing, as well as Paragon Connect to Total Systems for real-time communication with the Total Systems switch. Headquartered in Honolulu, Bank of Hawaii is the principal subsidiary of Pacific Century Financial Corporation, a regional financial services company with business locations throughout Hawaii, the Pacific region, and California.

BB&T Corporation

BB&T Corporation, headquartered in Winston-Salem, NC, has chosen Paragon Application Systems, Inc. for several mission-critical EFT projects, including developing a customized interface to Total Systems Services (TSYS) for real-time processing of debit card transactions, implementing an electronic check payee interface to Visa POS Check Service, and implementing a cross-platform interface for wire transfer transactions. BB&T is a fast growing, multi-bank holding company with 70.3 billion dollars in assets and a network of over 800 ATMs.

Central Bank Jefferson City

Central Technology Services (CTS), headquartered in Jefferson City, Missouri, has chosen the WorkSmart ATM Suite for developing and testing their ATM offerings. "The WorkSmart ATM Suite saves us time and money by allowing our developers to test changes to our ATM processing at their workstation.

First Citizens Bank and Trust Company

First Citizens BancShares (Nasdaq: FCNCA), a $12 billion financial holding company based in Raleigh, N.C. chose the Automatic Upload Facility (AUF) from Paragon Application Systems, Inc. for automatically uploading and archiving electronic journal files from Diebold and NCR ATMs in their expanded coast-to-coast ATM network. Two of First Citizens BancShares' major subsidiaries are First Citizens Bank with 342 branches in North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia; and Atlantic States Bank with 41 branches in Georgia and Florida. Atlantic States' western division, IronStone Bank, recently opened its first branch in Texas and has plans for branches in Arizona and California.

PEMCO Technology Services, Inc., with headquarters in Seattle, WA, has licensed the WorkSmart ATM Suite to expand its ATM testing and ATM configuration design capabilities. PEMCO specializes in transaction-handling and card-processing services for credit unions and other financial institutions through its PowerLink Visa, MasterCard, and ATM processing system.

PEMCO currently supports more than 230 financial institutions nationwide. That translates to about 350,000 authorizations and 330,000 monetary transactions each day for more than 2 million accounts.

Maitland FL-based Star Systems, Inc., a Concord EFS, Inc. subsidiary, operating the nation's largest regional ATM and POS network, has selected Paragon Application Systems, Inc. as their primary vendor for ATM simulation and testing software. In addition, Star Systems plans to use Paragon's software solution for designing ATM configurations. Star Systems processes more than 5.0 billion transactions a year via 6200 participating financial institutions and more than 900,000 participating ATMs and retail locations.

TNS Smart Network, Inc., based in Ontario Canada and one of Canada's largest processors of cash transactions from off-premise ATMs, has selected ConfigBuilder and ATMulator from NC-based Paragon Application Systems, Inc.
